Emergency & Restoration Specialist, HARBRO Helps Sutter Medical Building Survive Severe Water Damage with Minimum Business Interruption
Sacramento, CA – HARBRO Emergency and Restoration, one of the largest privately held property restoration companies on the West Coast, recently completed a challenging water damage project at a Sutter medical facility in Sacramento.
A Sacramento-based medical building belonging to the Sutter Medical Group was the site of this project. The building had suffered significant water damage with an area of over 17,000 square feet being affected by up to 4” of standing water on 4 floors. The affected areas included hallways, bathrooms, classrooms, exam rooms, waiting rooms and multiple stair wells. The entire medical facility was facing the threat of extended business interruption unless immediate corrective measures were implemented.
The HARBRO team was contacted by the property management company and landlord at approximately 7:30 pm on Sunday, May 3rd to take charge of the situation. Being the premier 24/7 emergency and restorationservice provider, HARBRO worked 14-20 person crews in continuous shifts around the clock to complete the emergency and repairs to restore the facility. HARBRO was able to obtain permits for repairs, secure approvals for work from both the tenant and landlord’s insurance carriers and complete the restoration and repairs in less than 3 weeks from the date of loss.
Successful execution of this restoration job is certainly a great achievement because of the sensitive nature of the project. Offering any type of disaster restoration service in the medical environment has its own challenges. Due to the nature of their work, a medical facility can’t afford any lapse in the quality of service because of the ongoing work. Moreover, all reconstruction related work in a medical facility needs to be executed while accommodating the occupied medical suites to maintain a silent and peaceful environment. The water damage experts from HARBRO were able to accomplish this task with flying colors. The hospital management, its staff, and the property management group representatives have expressed their pleasure at the way this project was handled by HARBRO.
“When water damage in a hospital occurs, it is really important to react both immediately and efficiently to resolve the situation to prevent an endless possibility of secondary damages and limit business interruptions for all parties.”Says Patrick Drumm, HARBRO Branch Manager.
